This cast is part of the renowned series of sculptures based on forms taken from seventeen distinct casting sessions carried out on Gormley's own body between 19 May and 10 July, 1995. Another Time is derivative of Gormley's original, seminal work consisting of 100 cast iron body forms entitled Another Place, 1997 which is now permanently located outside Liverpool on Crosby Beach. Another Time celebrates the still and silent nature of sculpture, designed to be placed within the flow of lived time.
Weighing over half a ton, the work was delicately transported and installed by our specialist art handling partners. Acquired directly from the artist's studio, it was purchased on behalf of a Private Collector and installed in the North of England in 2013.
